Our Bank and Vogue Services Division is our innovation hub, focused on developing partnerships to push the potential of used clothing, offering unique solutions to make fashion more circular and enact lasting change in the industry.

We are committed to constructing and supporting an inclusive and diverse workforce that truly reflects the global communities we operate within and encourages people from all backgrounds to apply.

The Position:

We are seeking a Business Analyst – Merchandising & Data Systems who combines strong merchandising acumen with advanced technical expertise in data extraction, ETL processes, and reporting. Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, you will support allocation and pricing decisions, maintain critical reporting tools, and ensure data integrity across systems. You will work closely with Buying, Ecommerce, and BI teams to deliver insights that drive sales and optimize inventory.

This role also requires hands-on ownership of our complex ETL processes that extract, transform, and load data from Excel/Google Sheets into SQL databases, feeding key Tableau dashboards and business planning tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising & Planning

  • Refresh and maintain weekly/monthly dashboards and tools (inventory dashboard, weeks cover files, production files, allocation/ecom injection plans, monthly snapshots).
  • Manage weekly pricing schedules for brick-and-mortar retail.
  • Monitor overaged inventory and recommend actions.
  • Support ecommerce sales events, stock injections, and discards-to-pickable processes.
  • Collaborate on the annual ecommerce merchandising plan and provide ongoing pricing and allocation insights.

ETL & Data Systems

  • Repair, optimize, and maintain an existing ETL pipeline moving data from Excel/Google Sheets into MS SQL with multiple transformation steps.
  • Develop and document processes to ensure ongoing reliability and scalability of data pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL-related issues, ensuring accurate and timely data availability.
  • Enhance automation and efficiency of recurring data loads using SSIS, SQL, and scripts.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Create and maintain Tableau dashboards that visualize key business metrics across inventory, demand planning, production, allocation, and pricing.
  • Handle ad hoc data requests and deliver analysis to support decision-making.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and data flows, implementing enhancements.

Pricing & Promotions Analysis

  • Evaluating the impact of markdowns, promotions, and discount cycles on sales, ASP (average selling price), and margin.
  • Testing new pricing models (e.g., set price vs. % discount).
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization
  • Forecasting demand, monitoring weeks of cover, identifying overstock/understock risks.
  • Supporting replenishment strategies and discard/recycle planning (important in circular/vintage models).

Store & Ecommerce Performance

  • Analyzing KPIs: sales vs LY, conversion, IPT (items per transaction), VPT (value per transaction), sell-through.
  • Comparing performance by region, format, or channel.

Process & Systems Analysis

  • Improving data pipelines (ETL, reporting dashboards) for merchandising, allocation, and planning.
  • Ensuring reporting tools reflect real-time retail needs (e.g., stock injections, seasonal planning).

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience in data analysis, ETL development, or BI reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL (queries, stored procedures, optimization).
  • Proven experience with SSIS and ETL processes involving multi-step data transformations.
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, array formulas, modeling) and experience with Google Sheets + scripts.
  • Proficiency in Tableau (dashboards, calculations, Prep experience an asset).
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

What we can offer you:

  • Fun place to work! Great people chasing an important global mission
  • Excellent work-life balance with our flexible remote environment and time-off policies
  • Excellent growth and development opportunities
  • Discounted retail benefits
