Role Overview

Lovely Professional University is seeking an experienced and strategic Business Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making, optimize institutional processes, and support key business initiatives. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, bringing strong analytical expertise and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis & Strategy

  • Collaborate with leadership and departments to identify business needs, challenges, and opportunities
  • Conduct detailed requirement analysis and translate them into functional specifications
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across academic, administrative, and operational functions

2. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs for performance monitoring
  • Support data-driven decision-making across departments

3. Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with academic heads, admissions, marketing, finance, and IT teams
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations for requirement gathering

4. Process Optimization

  • Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify inefficiencies
  • Recommend and implement automation and digital transformation initiatives
  • Ensure continuous improvement in operational workflows

5. Technology & Implementation Support

  • Assist in the implementation of ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems
  • Work with IT teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements
  • Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and system validation

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows
  • Maintain clear documentation of business processes and system changes
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 10–20 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in education, consulting, or large organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar
  • Experience with ERP/CRM systems is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education or large institutional environments
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMP, or equivalent)
  • Exposure to digital transformation projects
