Job Title: Brand Manager (Client Delivery & Growth)Role Summary

The Brand Manager owns end-to-end delivery, client experience, and outcomes for a defined set of clients (typically 10-12 accounts) within a pod. They act as a mini-CEO for their pod - responsible for strategy, coordination, quality, timelines, and retention.

This is not a coordination-only role. It is an ownership role with real accountability.


Key Responsibilities

1. Client Ownership & Communication

  • Be the single point of contact for assigned clients
  • Lead monthly and weekly client calls
  • Understand client business goals, inventory, and pressure points
  • Translate business goals into clear execution plans
  • Manage expectations, timelines, and scope
  • Handle escalations proactively and transparently

2. Strategy & Planning

  • Own the monthly plan for each client
  • Align social, performance, creatives, and SEO into one cohesive approach
  • Review performance insights and guide next actions
  • Work closely with performance marketers on funnel direction
  • Ensure creatives and content align with performance data

3. Pod Execution Management

  • Manage a pod consisting of:
  • Social Media Managers
  • Performance Marketer
  • Video Editor
  • SEO
  • Allocate work clearly and avoid overlaps
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all agreed outputs
  • Maintain quality benchmarks across content, ads, and communication

4. Centralized Team Coordination

  • Raise clear requirements for:
  • Designers
  • SEO
  • Web/LP
  • Shoots
  • Automation
  • Plan centralized hours in advance
  • Ensure centralized deliverables integrate smoothly with pod output

5. Performance Oversight (Not Execution)

  • Understand performance metrics:
  • CPL, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate
  • Question, review, and guide performance strategy
  • Escalate issues early
  • Ensure performance reporting is accurate and timely

(Brand Manager is not required to run ads, but must understand them deeply.)

6. Quality Control & Accountability

  • Final responsibility for:
  • Calendars
  • Creatives
  • Ads messaging
  • Reports
  • Ensure zero surprises for the client
  • Track SLA adherence and pod KPIs

7. Team Leadership & Culture

  • Act as a calm, dependable leader
  • Set standards for ownership and discipline
  • Give clear feedback to pod members
  • Flag underperformance early
  • Maintain pod morale and accountability

8. Commercial Responsibility

  • Own retention for assigned clients
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Protect agency margins by controlling scope creep
  • Understand pod capacity and hour limits

Key Metrics of Success (KPIs)

  • Client retention rate
  • Client satisfaction score
  • On-time delivery %
  • Performance stability/improvement
  • Zero unplanned escalations
  • Quality and clarity of client communication



Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–7 years in digital marketing / agency environment
  • Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Performance marketing fundamentals
  • Social media execution
  • Creative workflows
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written)
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills
  • Calm under pressure
  • Data-literate and decision-oriented

What This Role Is NOT

  • Not a pure account coordinator
  • Not a task tracker
  • Not a performance-only role
  • Not a creative-only role

This role is about ownership and outcomes.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Founder / Operations Lead
  • Leads: Pod team members
  • Works closely with: Centralized specialists

Career Progression

  • Senior Pod Manager
  • Group Account Manager (multiple pods)
  • Delivery Head / Business Head
