Business Development Executive (BDE) – Freshers (On-site, India)

About The Opportunity

Join an ambitious sales team as a frontline Business Development Executive responsible for generating pipeline, qualifying prospects, and supporting deal progression in a fast-moving fragrance and consumer-products environment. This role is ideal for high-energy freshers who want structured training, rapid learning, and a clear path into sales and account management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads using cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach and field visits to target accounts and channel partners.
  • Handle inbound enquiries, nurture prospects, and convert opportunities into qualified meetings for the sales team.
  • Schedule and participate in discovery meetings; communicate product value and coordinate follow-ups with internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of all sales activity and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute outreach campaigns and provide market feedback to refine messaging and offers.
  • Meet weekly and monthly activity KPIs (calls, demos, qualified leads) and support quote-to-order handover.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (completed)
  • Demonstrable interest in sales with basic knowledge of sales fundamentals and target-driven work.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce or HubSpot) or willingness to learn immediately.
  • Proven phone-based selling or tele-calling ability and comfort with cold calling.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and simple reporting.
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel locally for client meetings where required.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Internship or exposure to FMCG, consumer goods, or fragrance/chemical sectors.
  • Experience with email outreach tools or sales cadence platforms.
