Role Overview

As a Backend Engineer, you will design and build scalable, data-driven systems across:

• Backend & APIs
• Data pipelines & knowledge graphs
• ML integration
• Search & distributed systems



You’ll work hands-on, own architecture, and collaborate with data scientists to transform complex product data into intelligent insights.

What You Will Do

• Build REST APIs with Python, Django & DRF for mobile apps
• Design scalable data models and backend architecture
• Process and structure large datasets: ingredients, formulations, nutrition, regulations
• Integrate ML models (classification, NLP, scoring) into production pipelines
• Develop search & indexing systems using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
• Work with AWS, Redis, Kafka, and async pipelines for scalable distributed systems

Required Skills

• 4+ years Python development; strong Django & DRF expertise
• Production-grade REST API design and backend scalability
• Relational DB modeling (MySQL/PostgreSQL) & query optimization
• Building data pipelines, working with structured/semi-structured data
• Search systems experience (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch)
• Familiarity with ML integration, pandas, scikit-learn
• Experience with AWS, Redis, message queues, async processing

Bonus: Knowledge graphs, AI/LLM integration, high-scale APIs, nutrition/cosmetics/healthcare data
