We are looking for a Backend Developer Intern who is passionate about building scalable systems and APIs to support our growing product.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend APIs for the Gradzo platform
• Work with databases to manage candidate, employer, and job data
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Integrate third-party services and APIs when required
• Optimize backend performance and ensure scalability
• Collaborate with frontend developers to build seamless features
• Debug issues and improve system reliability

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript / Node.js or Python backend development
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture
• Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
• Knowledge of Git and version control
• Ability to debug and solve technical problems
• Good communication and willingness to learn

Nice to Have

• Experience with Supabase / Firebase / PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of authentication systems
• Experience working with React applications
• Understanding of deployment platforms like Vercel / AWS
