Azure Data Engineer

A fast-growing company in the Cloud Data Engineering & Analytics sector, building secure, scalable Azure-native data platforms that power real-time BI, advanced analytics, and operational reporting for enterprise customers.

We are hiring an experienced Azure Data Engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines, optimize performance, and deliver production-grade data solutions. This role is based in India and is fully on-site.

Primary Title: Azure Data Engineer | Location: India (On-site)

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks to ingest, transform, and curate data at scale.
• Implement data storage and processing solutions on Azure Data Lake Storage and Synapse Analytics, ensuring data quality, partitioning, and cost efficiency.
• Build PySpark jobs and Python services for batch and streaming use-cases; optimize Spark jobs for performance and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with data consumers and architects to define data models, schemas, and ingestion contracts; enforce data governance and lineage practices.
• Automate CI/CD for data platform components using Azure DevOps and infrastructure-as-code patterns; manage deployments and rollbacks.
• Monitor platform health, implement observability (metrics, logging, alerts), and troubleshoot production incidents to meet SLAs.

Qualifications: Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; proven track record delivering Azure data platform solutions; relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
