About the Role Position Title: Lead .NET Developer - AVP Corporate Title : AVP Location : MGS - Bengaluru Shift: EME Shift: 2.30 - 11.3 PM IST (Need to be flexible) Job Profile: Position details: Purpose: To enhance the existing risk reporting data warehouses, tools and technologies. Roles and Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include: Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of .NET applications used for risk monitoring and reporting Collaborate with risk analysts and senior developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and security Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging Support data integration tasks, including working with SQL Server databases and APIs Contribute to the automation of risk reporting and data validation processes Stay up to date with emerging technologies and regulatory changes relevant to financial risk management Programming Languages: Proficiency in C# and familiarity with VB.NET (if applicable) Job Requirements: Bachelors? Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred. Essential: Frameworks: Solid understanding of .NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET 6+ Web Development: Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages, and Web API Front-End Technologies: Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like jQuery or Blazor Database Management: Experience with SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, and understanding of database normalization Version Control: Familiarity with Git and platforms like GitHub , Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket Testing: Understanding of unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest Debugging & Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues APIs & Integration: Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML. Tools like Postman Experience of using Control-M or similar orchestration tools Need to have at least 3+ ears of team lead and people management experience Security Awareness: Basic understanding of secure coding practices and data protection principles (e.g., OWASP Top 10) Preferred: Experience of working with risk systems within a financial institution Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Personal Requirements: Excellent communication & interpersonal skills A proactive, motivated approach. The ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordingly managing large workloads and tight deadlines Strong decision-making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgement A calm approach, with the ability to perform well in a pressurized environment
