Job Role: Asst. Manager/Dy. Manager

Reports To: Sr. Manager – Engineering & Design

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Bid Engineering Responsible for pre-bid & POST-BID engineering work, including feasibility studies and preliminary design work. Utilizing PVsyst software to optimize generation reports and enhance visualization and accuracy.
• BOQ Preparation Preparation and Finalization of BOQ for Electrical system during Pre-bid and project phases.
• Plant Layout and Technical Specifications Preparation of plant layouts such as PV array layout, earthing layout, trench layout, illumination layout, HT cable layout, equipment layout etc. Review & finalization of technical specifications in collaboration with OEM’s & vendors for various equipment upto 1500V including PV Modules, Inverters, DC Cable, Earthing System, LT AC Cable, 800V ACCB, Illumination System, WMS etc.
• Design and Calculations Detailed Engineering of Project including preparation of sizing calculations, earthing calculations, electrical calculations, illumination calculations, SLD, shading reports etc Preparation of Engineering design packages for large scale PV projects in various project phases such as conceptualization, planning, tendering and execution. Shadow Analysis using Sketchup Evaluation of various climate data sources and preparation of energy yield simulations (PVsyst) to provide key project performance indicators for commercial project optimization and transaction services. Shall be expert in all aspects of PVSYST like Losses calculation, advance simulations, optimization, simulation with WMS data etc.
• Stakeholder Collaboration Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during construction and commissioning phases. Coordination and communication with third party technical advisors and consultants to ensure design compliance and optimization.
• Site Visits and Issue Resolution Conduct site visits. Work with project teams to identify design issues and develop solutions.
• Compliance Management Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards
• Design Package Review Manage the review process for all DC design packages, ensuring quality, accuracy, and completeness of documentation.
• Others Maintain knowledge of industry trends, developments, and best practices. Contribute to engineering innovations Maintain project engineering records
  
  

Non-negotiable Skills And Abilities

• Electrical Engineering Expertise Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices, including system design, equipment selection and sizing, and safety standards. Strong understanding of solar equipment Knowledge of IS/IEC codes and industry practices
• Software Proficiency Knowledge of Software skills like Pvsyst, Google Sketch Up, Google Earth, Dialux, AutoCAD, MS office, and other design software.

Eduction And Experience Required

• Experience – 3 to 7 years of experience in designing and engineering solar rooftop and ground-mounted projects from pre-feasibility study to project commissioning with a focus on DC electrical systems.
• Education – Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
