Role Description The Asst Manager Purchase (Flexible Packaging) is a full-time, on-site role based in Sonipat. This role is responsible for end-to-end procurement activities for flexible packaging materials, including vendor identification, supplier evaluation, and negotiation of prices and contracts. Daily tasks include raising purchase orders, tracking deliveries, coordinating with production and quality teams on material requirements, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The person in this role will monitor market trends and raw material prices, ensure timely sourcing to avoid production delays, and maintain accurate purchase records and reports. Collaboration with finance for invoice verification, adherence to company procurement policies, and continuous vendor performance review are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes in manufacturing, preferably in flexible or flexible packaging materials.
• Ability to evaluate vendors, negotiate rates and terms, and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Comfort with using ERP or other procurement/inventory management software and maintaining accurate purchase documentation.
• Solid analytical and numerical skills for cost comparison, budgeting, and tracking material consumption.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to work with production, quality, finance, and external suppliers.
• Attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize multiple purchase requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field; specialized training in materials management or supply chain is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in a purchasing or supply chain role within the packaging or manufacturing sector.
