🔹 Role Overview

As the Associate Vice President – Underwriting (Marine / Construction / Property), you will lead the underwriting function for your assigned line of business. You will manage a team of underwriters, oversee complex risk portfolios, drive underwriting strategy, and ensure strong business performance while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the underwriting team for the specific line of business (Marine / Construction / Property)
• Review underwriting submissions and ensure accurate risk assessment and pricing
• Manage and grow the assigned portfolio while maintaining profitability and quality
• Collaborate with brokers, clients, and internal teams to negotiate terms and secure business
• Monitor market trends, emerging risks, and regulatory updates to guide strategy
• Enhance underwriting processes, governance, and loss control practices
• Represent the underwriting vertical in senior leadership discussions and strategic initiatives

🔹 What We’re Looking For

• Strong underwriting experience in Marine / Construction / Property
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and portfolios at a senior level
• Deep understanding of product-specific risks, pricing, and market dynamics
• Excellent communication, decision‑making, and strategic thinking skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
