Job Title: Associate – Retail Credit Operations

Department: Retail Credit Operations – Credit Ops (Loan Servicing - T1)

Location: Offshore India – Bangalore

Contract Duration: 3 Months


Job Summary

The Associate – Retail Credit Operations is responsible for processing and verifying retail loan servicing transactions across various lending products, ensuring accuracy, compliance with internal policies, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). The role involves transaction verification, documentation review, fraud prevention, MIS reporting, GL reconciliations, and coordination with internal stakeholders to support efficient loan servicing operations while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Loan Servicing Operations
  • Perform first-level verification and scrutiny of loan servicing requests throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Process servicing transactions including:
  • Early settlement
  • Loan rescheduling
  • Interest repricing
  • Payment postponements
  • Loan write-offs
  • Due date changes
  • Loan pay-offs
  • Transaction reversals
  • Handle servicing activities for:
  • Personal Loans
  • SME Loans
  • Loan Accounts
  • Overdraft (OD) Facilities
  • Ensure all transactions comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review supporting documentation, perform ADM checks, and validate transaction requests before processing.
  • Verify customer information and documentation to prevent fraudulent transactions.
  • Ensure proper re-booking of lending products and overdraft facilities in accordance with disbursement instructions.
  • Authorize and process transactions within assigned operational limits.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation for audit and operational purposes.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of banking processes and systems to perform assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Respond to internal and external customer enquiries and complaints within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure all servicing requests are processed within defined Turnaround Time (TAT) and accuracy benchmarks.
  • MIS Reporting & Reconciliation
  • Update and maintain MIS trackers accurately and within reporting timelines.
  • Prepare and circulate operational reports to business stakeholders.
  • Perform General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and ensure zero outstanding exceptions.
  • Monitor system issues and coordinate with technology teams for timely resolution.
  • Maintain daily operational reports and reconciliation records.
  • Fraud Prevention & Quality Assurance
  • Verify the authenticity of customer information and transaction requests.
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions through detailed verification and validation processes.
  • Ensure all processed transactions meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Identify processing errors and recommend process improvements.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
  • Work closely with Team Leaders and Managers to ensure smooth operational workflow.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for issue resolution and process execution.
  • Support cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in back-office banking operations or financial services.
  • Experience in retail banking operations or loan servicing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general banking regulations and operational procedures.
