Job Description

Responsibilities

Gaining agreements on and achieving project goals and objectives, balancing, and managing the project scope (including requirements), schedule, budget, quality, resources, and risks
Monitoring the business case during project execution with an outcome-oriented view focusing on the maximization of the project benefits and business impact
Able to manage Budget Preparation activities, STRAP document, Operational Plan and presentation for senior leadership
Building partnerships with the project’s stakeholders (both internal and external), leverage them to achieve organizational goals, and able to influence their opinions and negotiate effective solutions
Investigating customer expectations and responding to their feedback
Contextualizing organizational goals and shifts, recognizing opportunities, and turning those into business value
Monitoring project activities, appropriately balancing risk taking and issue escalation and setting up detailed progress / escalation reports (including suggested corrective actions) for the project sponsors and leadership team
Ensure Project Management standards and WoW are adopted as per SoPs
Implement standards, processes, and tools used for effective project management and maintain all project-related documentation and deliverables
Coordination with Internal and External stakeholders to achieve strategic digital function objectives
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital project management best practices
Understanding of digital technologies, including emerging trends such as AI, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Cloud computing, and Data analytics. Had prior experience in effectively managing and deployed them.
Prior experience of managing multiple large-scale projects with a large number of different projects or has been responsible for large projects with innovative/operational character and with a long-term strategic goal, involving multiple business domains within the company and/or external business partners and/or customers.
Able to set and develop strategic direction in close alignment with project sponsors and stakeholders
Organizational understanding and in-depth knowledge of all business/functions, competitors, and market trends and ability to translate this into strategic objectives
Uses emotional intelligence to build highly effective project teams by fostering excellent cross-functional and cross-business communications between internal and external project resources, guiding, and motivating team members and integrating the work of others to achieve business objectives.
Ability to identify program/projects’ interdependencies, project/program risks (opportunities and threats) and issues and identifies mitigation actions and drives in fostering a risk environment where considerate risk-taking behavior is encouraged, taking into consideration the balance between risk taking and risk escalations
Experience with MS Office, MS Project, Gate Phase methodology and project management tools

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant working experience, including all aspects of project development and execution, demonstrating outstanding record of project management success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology

Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
MBA (preferred)
PMP certification
Experience in leading projects in the Mining and Metals industry is a plus.

Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or other recognized certifications like PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist or Certified Agile Project Manager (IAPM) or equivalent
