Role Description

Job Profile Summary:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for supporting highly complex quality control tasks

with substantial technical knowledge to address manufacturing abnormalities, working under limited

supervision. The role exercises autonomy within established procedures, analyzing tasks to identify

and resolve complex issues, and coordinates quality control protocols while ensuring adherence to

Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The role supports the

development of laboratory hygiene programs and regulatory documentation, acts as a mentor for

junior technicians, and contributes to validation protocols and equipment maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operates as a highly skilled quality control technician, executing diverse highly complex tasks based on individual understanding and technical knowledge to address abnormalities within operational manufacturing processes.
  • Works under limited supervision, utilizes specialized skills to perform in-depth analysis of assigned tasks, identifying key issues and patterns and resolves complex problems to drive results.
  • Review incoming supplier certifications (e.g., CoC, CoA, test reports) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with PO and protocol requirements.
  • Follow all applicable Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, including inspection, documentation, NC handling, and change control.
  • Immediately identify and escalate deviations, nonconformances, or suspect material through established escalation pathways
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality to support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (RCA/CAPA).
  • Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and company compliance requirements always.

Education

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

Experience

  • Previous experience in receiving inspection, supplier quality, or quality assurance (regulated industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of QMS processes (ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
  • Familiarity with CoC/CoA review and material traceability requirements
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills; high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to escalate issues clearly and promptly.
