Role Overview

The Associate Director will lead the firewall and network security risk workstream and embed cyber risk management across high-risk applications, platforms, and infrastructure. They will own assessment and governance of firewall, segmentation, and perimeter architectures, review rule sets and change requests for risk and compliance, partner with operations to define and monitor KRIs, and support internal and external audits to ensure consistent, auditable network controls.

What Should You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology discipline.
• 15+ years of hands-on experience in IT risk management and/or information security, including
• Demonstrated Experience with firewall and network security (e.g., reviewing rules/policies, segmentation, perimeter security).
• Experience in threat modeling and secure architecture / design reviews.
• Exposure to AI / ML platforms and use cases and the associated security, privacy, and governance considerations.
• In-depth knowledge of IT and cyber risk assessment frameworks and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills to assess and interpret complex technical and business data.
• Proven ability to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks, and to translate them into actionable mitigation plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey risk findings and recommendations clearly.
• Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a concise, business-oriented manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for identifying and addressing potential risks.
• High attention to detail to ensure accurate risk assessments, documentation, and reporting.
• Understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, data protection/privacy, and other industry-specific requirements).
• Experience managing risk-related projects and coordinating with cross-functional and global teams.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple initiatives and priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
