Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Director / Director of Indirect Tax based in Gurgaon, India. The role involves managing and overseeing indirect tax compliance and advisory services for clients, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other indirect tax laws. The individual will provide strategic guidance on tax planning, handle complex client engagements, monitor regulatory changes, and manage relationships with clients and tax authorities. Responsibilities also include mentoring team members and contributing to business development by identifying opportunities and providing value-driven tax solutions.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of Indirect Tax laws, including GST, and the ability to address complex tax matters
• Strong expertise in tax advisory, tax planning, and compliance frameworks
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to address client challenges
• Proficiency in client relationship management and experience in delivering high-quality client engagements
• Leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring teams and driving performance
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax concepts effectively
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and a collaborative mindset
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent; additional certifications in taxation will be an advantage
• Proven experience working with clients in diverse industries; prior experience in a professional services firm is preferred
• Knowledge and familiarity with regulatory developments in Indian tax framework
