Brief Job Overview
The Associate Director, Digital Marketing is a critical leadership role in USP’s Digital Marketing Centre of Excellence. This is a highly visible, supervisory, managerial position to head the Digital Marketing hub at USP’s India office. The profile will manage a team of more than ten members across content strategy and creation, digital marketing execution, campaign reporting, marketing automation platforms and marketing operations for USP’s global marketing campaigns. The profile will also manage USP’s relationship with marketing agencies in India. The profile will work very closely with the leadership and members of USP’s growth marketing team, global communications team, commercial operations team, and other relevant teams at USP’s headquarters in Rockville, USA. The ideal candidate must have expertise in digital marketing and experience in managing large teams in a high-growth and high-expectations environment.

The Associate Director, Digital Marketing Has The Following Responsibilities
Digital Marketing and Marketing Operations:
- Collaborate with growth marketing leadership and team members in Rockville to ensure global and regional digital marketing campaigns are successful and implemented on time and within budget.
- Guide the te:am at the India Digital Marketing hub in managing global digital campaigns across paid, earned & owned channels, including e-mail, display, paid search & social media.
- Ensure that campaign performance is analysed at a regular cadence and team shares insights and analysis with leadership.
- Work closely with the marketing operations leadership and team members in Rockville to support end to end global marketing operations spanning regional marketing, digital marketing execution, sales preparedness and training, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Model USP core Values in all aspects of work performance & interaction with people.
- Function as the leadership point contact with USP approved marketing agency(ies) in India, eliminating bottlenecks and ensuring seamless engagement with the agency(ies).
- Enhance the high performing and innovative culture within the team, empowering the team to experiment with and use generative AI, hyper-personalization of message, predictive analytics, etc.
- Manage directly and indirectly a talented team of more than ten members, who specialize in Marketo, content development, ecommerce and channel strategy and execution, marketing data analysis, and marketing operations.
- Maintain high morale and inspire the team to deliver in an evolving environment. The India Digital Marketing hub is a new team expected to significantly drive USP’s growth aspirations globally. Work with functional managers at USP Rockville and other regions to guide the work of the team and help them develop and grow in their roles.
The Successful Candidate Will Have a Demonstrated Understanding Of Our Mission, Commitment To Excellence Through Inclusive And Equitable Behaviors And Practices, Ability To Quickly Build Credibility With Stakeholders, Along With The Following Competencies And Experience
- MBA or equivalent masters degree, with in depth knowledge of brand marketing/product marketing/digital marketing.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least last 5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in pharma or health care sector.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing marketing teams.
- Track record of leading cross-functional projects in a global organization.
- Experience working with marketing agencies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in or experience managing teams responsible for ecommerce marketing and ecommerce platform.
- Experience in marketing operations.
- Additional qualifications in Digital Communication / corporate communications.
- Certification in Project Management.
- AI and digital savvy with an aptitude for learning software technology quickly.
