About the Role

Role & responsibilities - IEEE (Sales Industrial Plug & Socket)

Responsibilities

• Create and Maintain Component Specifications
• Develop detailed technical specifications for mechanical/electrical components.
• Standardize product specifications in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Review and Approve Engineering Drawings
• Collaborate with design teams to verify drawing accuracy and completeness.
• Validate bill of materials (BOMs), datasheets, and 3D models.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with engineering, sourcing, quality, and production teams.
• Interface with suppliers to obtain technical data and ensure specification adherence.
• Component Standardization
• Support efforts to standardize components and reduce part proliferation.
• Maintain component libraries (in PLM or ERP systems).
• Documentation and Compliance
• Ensure specifications meet relevant international standards (ISO, RoHS, REACH, etc.).
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation in internal systems.
• Change Management
• Handle engineering change requests (ECRs) and change orders (ECOs).
• Update and communicate specification changes across departments.
• Support for New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Participate in the design and review of new components during NPI processes.
• Help qualify new suppliers based on technical specification capability.
