Job Purpose: The Executive - Construction is responsible for executing project plans and ensuring timely project completion while maintaining quality, safety, and cost efficiency. This role involves assisting in site execution, resource management, contractor coordination, and progress monitoring. The role requires proactive problem-solving, adherence to project specifications, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Executive - Construction
Project Execution & Coordination
Execute construction activities as per project design, drawings, and specifications.
Review project plans to determine timeframes, budgets, manpower, and resource allocation.
Ensure smooth execution of work at the site while maintaining project timelines.
Monitor daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
Address and resolve issues hampering project progress on a day-to-day basis.
Resource & Cost Management
Plan and identify daily requirements for labor, construction machinery, materials, and formwork.
Allocate jobs to certified sub-agencies as per issued work orders.
Ensure planned output from manpower, machinery, and materials is achieved.
Monitor and control costs to align with the assigned budget.
Promote cost and productivity awareness among subcontractors.
Check, certify, and recommend execution-related payments while implementing cost-saving measures.
Quality & Safety Compliance
Ensure all construction work is performed within the budgeted limits and contractual framework.
Conduct dimensional checks to verify conformity with drawings and specifications.
Monitor execution quality and ensure compliance with required standards.
Enforce safety compliance, including work permits, PPE usage, and daily toolbox talks.
Address and rectify snag points, ensuring timely resolution by the contractor.
Reporting & Documentation
Monitor and maintain daily progress reports, ensuring timely billing and submission.
Raise material requirements and coordinate with the stores/purchase department.
Prepare and present project reports to management and clients, discussing technical solutions and challenges.
Provide necessary data to billing and planning engineers for timely project evaluations.
Attend and resolve queries raised by the PMC (Project Management Consultant) or contractor engineers.
Stakeholder & Team Management
Communicate effectively with contractor engineers for smooth project execution.
Inspire and guide team members, fostering teamwork and accountability.
Balance team and individual responsibilities while providing vision and motivation to subordinates.
