Job Description:Position Title: Assistant Manager

Skill set: Project & Infrastructure Purchase (Procurement)

Number of Positions: 1

Location: Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar

The Assistant Manager is responsible for end-to-end procurement and contract support for infrastructure and construction projects. The role ensures timely, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing of vendors, materials, and services while supporting contract administration and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities1. Vendor Management- Identify, evaluate, and prequalify vendors and contractors based on technical and commercial criteria.

  • Ensure vendor compliance with organizational standards and project requirements.
  • Tendering & Procurement- Prepare Tender Documents / RFPs.
  • Conduct Market Rate Analysis for procurement of goods, works, and services.
  • Drive timely tendering and procurement processes in alignment with project schedules.
  • Cross-functional Coordination- Liaise with internal departments to resolve vendor queries.
  • Provide clarifications on tender / RFI documents in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Techno-Commercial Negotiations- Conduct detailed negotiations with vendors/contractors.
  • Strive to achieve optimal technical and commercial outcomes for the organization.
  • Claim Analysis- Review and analyse execution-stage claims raised by site teams.
  • Assess claims for contractual compliance and cost impact before recommendations.
  • SAP Work Order Management- Prepare Work Orders and manage vendor registration.
  • Oversee relevant SAP MM module processes and formalities.
  • Contract Documentation & Compliance- Draft, execute, and maintain systematic records of contractual documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and audit standards.
  • Support to Contracts Head
  • Assist the Head – Contracts in daily operations and strategic planning.
  • Provide analytical support for decision-making.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • Postgraduate in Construction Management from NICMAR, Pune (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, service contract and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in tender preparation and market rate analysis.
  • Experience in ERP systems, preferably SAP MM module.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proactive and result-oriented “go-getter” attitude.
