  • Job Purpose

To manage ecommerce financial operations including marketplace reconciliations, claims management, dispute resolution, payment recoveries, and stakeholder coordination, while ensuring accurate settlement, high claim realization, robust process controls, and timely MIS reporting to support sustainable ecommerce business growth.

  • Job Context & Major Challenges
  • Pantaloons' E-commerce business operates across multiple marketplace platforms, resulting in high transaction volumes, complex payment cycles, and multiple stakeholder dependencies. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate settlement reconciliation, claim recovery, dispute resolution, and financial control across ecommerce channels while driving operational efficiency and revenue realization. The incumbent collaborates with marketplace partners, logistics providers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless financial operations and adherence to established processes

Major Challenges

  • Managing large volumes of marketplace transactions and reconciliations with high accuracy.
  • Identifying and resolving payment, return, and settlement discrepancies across multiple platforms.
  • Ensuring timely recovery of claims and minimizing revenue leakages.
  • Achieving targeted claim realization through effective dispute management and stakeholder follow-ups.
  • Coordinating with multiple external partners and internal teams for issue resolution within defined timelines.
  • Strengthening controls and processes to prevent recurring discrepancies and operational inefficiencies.
  • Generating actionable MIS and insights to support business decision-making
  • Principal Accountabilities

Supporting Actions

E-commerce Order Lifecycle & Partner Management

  • Ensure end-to-end ecommerce order lifecycle management.
  • Conduct periodic review meetings with ECom partners and internal brand ECom teams.
  • Coordinate with marketplace platforms, logistics partners, warehouse teams, and other stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency

Marketplace Claims & Dispute Resolution

  • Raise disputes for customer-returned goods with marketplace platforms and logistics partners (MP Return vs PT Receipt reconciliation).
  • Raise disputes for incorrect commission, logistics charges, and other marketplace-related deductions.

Marketplace Claim Realization

  • Oversee end-to-end marketplace claims processing.
  • Ensure achievement of 95–98% claim realization in line with internal and external SOPs.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for timely claim submission, follow-up, and closure

MIS & Data Analytics

  • Prepare and publish periodic MIS reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Handle and analyze large volumes of ecommerce marketplace data for actionable insights and decision-making.
  • Identify operational and financial trends to support business performance improvement.

Stakeholder & Partner Coordination

  • Maintain regular interactions with marketplace customers, logistics/service providers, warehouse teams, and marketplace finance teams.
  • Drive proactive follow-ups with external partners to ensure timely collections and dispute resolution within defined timelines.
