Job Description
- Regulating & reviewing the company policies & their timely renewal like Health & Safety policy, Environment policy, Alcohol & Illicit drug policy, fatigue Management plans, Oil Spill management procedures, equipment inspection & maintenance procedures, chemical handling procedures.
- Develop & communicate Emergency Response Plan with the workforce.
- Performing the Hazard Identification, Risk assessments & Job Safety Analysis of the operations.
- Performing frequent site & equipment inspections for observing the risks including highly noisy environment, hazardous gases, exposed rotating machines, substandard tools, outdated & unsafe lifting equipment, hygienic equipment, hydrocarbon handling, safety facilities, compressed gas cylinders & pressure vessels, ensuring secured high pressure hoses, and safety valves working & emergency isolation switches working, enforcing the control measures.
- To perform the accident investigations and enforcing the recommendations of corrective and preventive actions.
- To prepare the CAPA tracker after the implementations of investigation findings.
- To arrange training sessions for crew members like first aid, hot work, height work, confined space, Ammonia plant, safe operation of lifting equipment, electrical safety, material handling, Lock out Tag out, Firefighting & First Aid & housekeeping.
- Arranging & attending regular safety meetings with the workers and staffs as well as internally to identify HSSEQ issues and finding the safest possible way forward.
- Preparing the daily, monthly, quarterly, annual HSSE statistics.
- Ensuring safe evacuation of the employees & equipment from building locations.
- Prepare the safety budget and projections for financial pre- planning.
- Arranging the initial and periodic medical fitness tests & safety induction for the newly hired employees and visitors.
- Ensuring the important safety information is shared with the employees in the language they can understand.
- Ensuring safe storage, handling & use of chemicals, hydrocarbons, heavy equipment & dangerous goods.
- To carry out planning and safe execution of the shutdown jobs in plant and machinery.
- To conduct mock drills at site like fire drill, stretcher drill, BOP drill, evacuation drill.
- To maintain regular/monthly fire & safety statistics, inspection of firefighting equipment, first aid station, ambulance, gas detectors.
- To carry out checks & inspections of Fire Fighting equipment & all safety facilities.
- To carry out internal audits as well as to assist external audit teams.
- Track and comply Fatality related recommendations.
