Job Description

Study architectural and structural drawings.
Analyse contract documents, technical specifications, and design details.
Identify discrepancies, conflicts, or missing details in the design.
Understand the relevant packages based on WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
Use IS 1200 standards (Indian Standard Method of Measurement) for consistent measurement. Adjust for regional material price variations.
Verify that the drawing layers, scales, and dimensions are appropriately defined.
Understand the scope of work by reviewing floor plans, sections, and elevations.
Identify the elements to be measured, such as walls, slabs, columns, and beams.
Turn on/off relevant layers to isolate specific components for measurement. Can perform basic measurements (lengths, areas, and volumes).
Uses object snaps, polylines, and dimensions to extract quantities.
Prepare a detailed BOQ with itemized quantities and costs.
Provide input for periodic cost reports.
