Mid-Continent Group is seeking a Business Analyst who will serve in a technical role on our Information Technology team.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update rating tables, databases, and formulas within the underwriting and policy administration systems.
  • Create and update commercial policy forms, including ISO and company proprietary forms.
  • Research and resolve rating and data issues for Commercial Underwriting.
  • Support system projects by helping define business requirements/user stories and assisting with design and implementation.
  • Develop test plans, coordinate and perform UAT, and document progress, table changes, and results for compliance.
  • Communicate project status with business units, IT, and leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and IT.
  • Lead small meetings, prepare agendas, and foster effective collaboration.
  • Build strong working relationships across IT, Underwriting, and business partners.
  • Perform other related duties.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Insurance experience preferred.
  • Basic experience working with application data, tables, and testing.
  • Familiarity with CGI Ratabase is helpful but not required.
  • Strong multitasking, organization, and time‑management skills; able to handle shifting priorities and interruptions.
  • Professional communication skills; comfortable interacting at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence, curiosity, and self‑driven development.
