Asset Servicing Team Lead

Our global asset management partner, who is establishing its new business service centre in Budapest, is hiring an Asset Servicing Team Lead. Their purpose is to help clients define and achieve superior financial outcomes through differentiated insights, disciplined investment approaches, and exceptional service.


Your new role

Lead a team of Asset Servicing analysts responsible for the smooth and efficient execution of the full asset servicing lifecycle across multiple asset classes and products. The team’s responsibilities include Corporate Actions (mandatory & voluntary), Income Processing, Proxy Voting & Class Actions, and Tax Reclaims & Withholding.

The Team Lead drives operational excellence, mitigates risk, ensures regulatory compliance, and acts as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders (portfolio managers, custodians, tax advisors, and technology partners).


Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop an Asset Servicing team; ensure strong daily coverage and high performance.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely execution of all asset servicing processes: corporate actions, income events, proxy voting, class actions, and tax reclaims.
  • Manage voluntary election processes, including communication and escalations to the front office when needed.
  • Resolve queries and issues raised by internal teams, custodians, and external service providers.
  • Collaborate with Operations Leadership to embed best practices and enhance the operating model.
  • Lead and support operational change initiatives: process design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations; represent Asset Servicing in audits and reviews.
  • Build strong relationships across functions and act as the escalation point for complex servicing issues.
  • Maintain and continuously improve team procedures; promote a culture of ongoing improvement.


What you need to succeed

  • Extensive experience in Asset Servicing, covering corporate actions (mandatory & voluntary), income processing, proxy voting, and related operational activities.
  • Familiarity with asset servicing platforms, proxy voting systems, and SWIFT messaging standards; experience in asset management is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams within financial services or asset management.
  • Strong operational risk & control mindset, with solid knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to partner effectively across functions and with external parties.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong people leadership and motivation skills, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing culture.
  • Team‑oriented, client‑focused approach, prioritising service quality and timely issue resolution.
