Asset Manager- Solar

Technical Performance Management

• Performance Monitoring: Tracking energy production, PR (Performance Ratio), and equipment availability in real-time to identify underperformance.
• O&M Coordination: Supervising Operations & Maintenance contractors, validating maintenance work, and enforcing warranties.
• Troubleshooting: Analyzing downtime causes and directing corrective maintenance to minimize generation loss.
• Site Security & Maintenance: Ensuring site security and managing ancillary services such as vegetation management and panel cleaning

Financial and Commercial Management

• Revenue Optimization: Tracking financial performance, including revenue generation, operating costs, and budget compliance.
• Contract Management: Administering Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), land leases, and insurance policies to avoid penalties.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborating with finance teams on asset budgets, forecasts, and financial modeling.

Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks related to energy prices, regulatory changes, or equipment failure.

Compliance and Stakeholder Management

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local permits, licenses, and grid connection standards.
• Reporting: Providing regular reports on technical and financial performance to stakeholders and investors.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Maintaining relationships with landowners, utility companies, and grid operators
• Technical Proficiency: Understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, and SCADA monitoring systems.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical and financial data (e.g., using MS Excel, Power BI).
• Contractual Expertise: Strong understanding of PPA frameworks and O&M commercial structures.
• Education/Experience: Usually requires a degree in engineering, finance, or a related field, often with 3–10 years of experience.
