Role
Area sales manager (ASM), SATO, will develop a deep understanding of SATO business objective and will lead the sales activity in assigned territory Jharkhand state to achieve its short and long-term business goals (Sales & Financial target) that planned with Leader, India SATO.
The major role of ASM in SATO India business is to increase the penetration percentage of SATO products in market in order to maximize the impact on the lives of people.

Role
Area sales manager (ASM), SATO, will develop a deep understanding of SATO business objective and will lead the sales activity in assigned territory Jharkhand state to achieve its short and long-term business goals (Sales & Financial target) that planned with Leader, India SATO.
The major role of ASM in SATO India business is to increase the penetration percentage of SATO products in market in order to maximize the impact on the lives of people.
Responsibilities
- Achieve the sales target (AOP) within the assigned territory with the team of 2-3 associates, in line with the global SATO goals (Impact target and Breakeven).
- Collaborate with the Leader and cross functional team, to evaluate the market and create a strategic plan for the assigned territory.
- Improve customer and partner satisfaction by empowering the team to meet customer needs and achieve high business performance.
- Engage with channel partners, research & analyze the assigned territory, and define the target customers with leaders.
- Build strong relationships with existing partners, understand their business needs, align business approaches, and execute the strategy together.
- To acquire new customers, create a clear approach plan for associates. The ASM will decide the target and provide the approach plan and instructions to associates.
- Identify business problems and challenges for associates in the assigned territory, find solutions with team leaders, and provide proper instructions and processes for solving problems.
- Ensure ongoing training and development of associates' skills to achieve their targets over time.
- Empower the sales team to take a proactive approach to identify and solve problems with each member.
- Collaborate with marketing, partnership, supply chain, Finance & Operation, and other internal and external stakeholders to build and implement an effective territory strategy to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Five to ten years of proven sales experience in building material goods, hardware, paints, sanitaryware, ceramics, PVC pipes, tanks, cement etc.
- Experience in managing entire state geographically along with a mid-size team.
- Experience in social enterprises, the sanitation sector, or in sales organizations with partnerships with trades and with government departments is a plus.
- Robust interpersonal and networking skills. Ability to forge effective working relationships and to foster solution-oriented approach with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent people management, customer service and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to coach and develop a high-performing team.
- Reliable organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- English language fluency required, preferably in one or more language in India local language.
- Hands-on experience and confidence in using Google sheets and other productivity Google workspace tools.
