About the job:
Role: Area Sales Manager- Government Business
Location: Delhi
Department: Sales
Qualification: B.Tech (Biomedical Engineering) / B.Sc
Experience: 4+ years in sales
Note: We are looking for candidates working with Medical Device industry and handling sales for Govt Accounts
Role Purpose
The Area Sales Manager will drive government business growth across Delhi & NCR by managing key government hospital accounts, increasing market penetration, developing new opportunities, and positioning Dräger as a complete healthcare solutions provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with government customers (Central Govt., Delhi Govt., ESI hospitals).
- Achieve sales targets with responsibility for revenue, margins, and accurate sales forecasting.
- Identify, negotiate, and close new business opportunities while following standard sales and CRM processes.
- Develop customized Dräger solution portfolios based on customer needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and collaborate with internal teams (marketing, service, logistics, CAS).
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments; provide regular updates to management.
- Maintain CRM hygiene with a strong opportunity funnel.
- Support payment receivables and resolve customer issues to ensure long-term relationships.
- Participate in roadshows, exhibitions, and clinical engagements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Tech (Biomedical) / B.Sc. (Science) or equivalent.
- Experience: Government institutional sales preferred.
- Skills: Strong sales & negotiation skills, CRM proficiency, product knowledge.
- Languages: English & Hindi.
