Job Description

This position is for application/system engineering. Responsibilities include debugging customer schematic or boards issues, duplicating the same issue on bench test and providing solutions with appropriate test report and providing technical training.

Essential Functions

  • Work with design engineers, Field applications team, and marketing team to support products power solutions for CPU, GPU, FGPA etc.
  • Hands-on lab bench evaluations, system and board level debugging and prototype demonstrations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support existing products and drive new product development.

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Education: BE or higher with 5+ years of hand-on experience in switch mode power supply designs especially in multi-phase core power design. Familiar with lab tools like oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, e-loads, function Generator etc.
  • Prior work experience in high power/high current multi-phase products is highly preferred, proven problem-solving capability.
  • Experience with simulation tool like Simplis is preferred and Experience in PCB design/layout is needed.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Self- Starter and Self-motivated.
  • Ability to operate under minimum supervision.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in I2C, PMBus, SVID, DVID, SDLE, VR14.x communication protocol.
  • Understanding of most common power supply architecture, and converter control loops operation,
  • The ability to evaluate electronic performance of EVB and customer boards on bench.
  • Demonstrated leadership in customer-facing technical support roles.
