Position: Android Engineer (Kotlin)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Android Engineer with strong expertise in building native Android applications using Kotlin. You will develop scalable, high-performance mobile applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute throughout the complete mobile application lifecycle. Exposure to iOS (Swift) is desirable, while Flutter experience is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build modern Android applications using Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack libraries.
• Integrate REST APIs and implement secure client-server communication.
• Develop scalable, reusable components using MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and responsiveness.
• Debug production issues using profiling, logging, and crash analytics tools.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Manage Play Store releases, versioning, and production support.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high standards of code quality and security.

Required Skills

• 4–8 years of Android application development experience.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, Navigation, Room, WorkManager, DataStore).
• Hands-on experience with Coroutines, Flow, Retrofit, and OkHttp.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modular application design.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, Git, and mobile CI/CD.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and memory management skills.
• Understanding of secure mobile development and Material Design guidelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Swift/iOS development.
• Flutter & Dart.
• Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config).
• Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM).
• JUnit, Mockito, Espresso, Compose UI Testing.
• Agile product development experience.
