Roles & Responsibilities

Looking for a Data Analyst / Systems Analyst to assist in the analysis of data issues across several systems that interchange data and propose solutions to solve those issues. The solutions will range from business process changes, data integration or protocol, and/or the redesign of sub systems. This position is a mix of responsibilities found with Data Analysts and Business Systems Analysts to support IFaMS (Inventory Fall-out Management System). IFaMS monitors for variance across multiple systems. This position is a combination of hands-on data queries and in-depth analysis of issues/variance between systems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Perform data collection, in-depth analysis, validation and reporting.
Design, test, and document processes, SQL queries, and stored procedures
Produce and maintain Technical Process Flows, Data Mapping, and other, related design and as-built documentation in support of the application architecture.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Managers, Architects, and Developers in recommending strategies and tactical implementations to solve data problems.
Provide guidance to development teams based on analysis of data
Research gaps in data between disparate systems
Visualize and report data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provide insight to the stakeholders
Understand customer business use cases and be able to design queries to extract the needed data. Research and translate these use case to technical speicification and data flows.
Meet weekly with stakeholders to understand their data needs.

Required Qualifications

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to successfully distill complex technical information into clear, concise yet comprehensive communication material
Skill in organizing technical resources and identifying priorities to carry out the analysis or assembling of solutions
Ability to multi-task and handle on a proactive basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment in order to maximize time-management and efficiencies
Strong ability to effectively analyze and interpret data
Ability to document, prepare, and deliver data-driven presentations
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to write SQL scripts from scratch, evaluate existing scripts, run SQL queries, use SQL Loader and to use Excel commands such as VLOOKUP.
Ability to do joins and filtering in SQL and experience with SQLDeveloper.
Strong abilitty to understand the needs of the customer and end-to-end business process flow so that the correct data is presented
Intermediate level knowledge of Python scripting and Oracle + Python
Ability to work with Python Editor or Visual Studio Editor
Experienced with Gitlab or Bit Bucket
Nice to have – experience with Splunk to evaluate logs

EDUCATION

BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience

IT work experience 7+
