Why Join DHCS?
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is the backbone of California’s health care safety net. Our success is made possible by the hard work of more than 4,800 DHCS team members and through collaboration with the federal government and other state agencies, counties, and partners for the care of low-income families, children, pregnant women, older adults, and persons with disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join our diverse team in the following role. If you are interested in joining our team, apply today!
About This Role:
The Population Health Management Division (PHMD) plays a pivotal role in designing and driving the implementation of DHCS' flagship initiative, California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM)—driving meaningful change in a start-up-like environment. PHMD is part of DHCS' Quality and Population Health Management Program (QPHM) and, as a three-year-old division, continues to grow and evolve. PHMD is currently recruiting a nimble, dynamic, and analytical individual to join the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) Unit. This is a unique opportunity for an Analyst II to be a part of a team that is responsible for administering and monitoring PHM programs, including Enhanced Care Management (ECM). Specifically, the Analyst II will be responsible for developing, operationalizing, and administering tasks in support of the ECM Unit. The incumbent will work both independently and in a team-oriented environment, performing consultative and analytical research, data and policy analysis, and technical assistance to address program-related matters pertinent to the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of the ECM benefit.
