Position Summary
We are searching for a Dynamic Candidate who possesses the Health, Environment and safety management skills to operate effectively in a matrix environment and have confidence in driving aggressive growth plans. The person should have a consultative and collaborative style, proven track record / achievement. THE ROLE
This role is responsible for executing HSE strategies and actions plans to meet the business objectives together with Local functional leaders (i.e. Innovation, Operations, Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain) to achieve overall organization’s objectives. In addition to this role would have to liaise with Multi-discipline team including support functions, to delight our Internal Stakeholders
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.
The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage specific key activities like safety assessments, hazard identification, safety training, or emergency response activities to support efforts to achieve specific safety outcomes activities and support the team to achieve specific safety outcomes. The role shall carry out tactical activities and to enhance safety culture and continuously improve safety performance. In addition, it is to support key tasks, including HSE audits, incident investigations, and HSE program development, aligned with Regional vision and aspirations.
The assigned territories include Fluid Power businesses in India.
The Employee’s specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:

- Maintain records in accordance with acceptable standards and assuring appropriate confidentiality.
- Implement an effective program for Reporting of Hazardous conditions, unsafe behavior, Near miss, Incident, investigation and implementation of countermeasures.
- To implement an HSE policy and strategies to achieve the policy goals. Follow ‘Gates License to stop’ procedure whilst come across problems associated with Safety, Health & Environment.
- Ensure Audit observations (internal/external) are closed and complied in line with the policy.
- Conducting Risk assessments by using the templates for assessing and mitigating risks across the entire organization in terms of Health, Safety & Environment.
- Monitoring and maintaining the Health, Safety & Environmental Management system such as Corporate HSE standards, LCR, ZTP, LPA, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 etc.,
- Lead to implement and maintain the Health, Safety & Environmental Management system such as Corporate HSE standards, LCR, ZTP etc.
- Ensure the display of bulletin boards with required HSE compliance notices and postings as required by the local regulation.
- Coordinate the management committees like Safety Committee etc.
- Maintaining the site HSE KPI TCIR – 0 and LTIR – 0
- Lead to implement and monitor the effectiveness of Layered Process Audit.
- Periodical reporting of requisite HSE data in online portals.
- Verifying the physical work conditions and approving work permits for high-risk activities.
- Collecting data and compiling reports for incident investigation for near miss, recordable incidents. Identifying corrective and preventive action for root causes of the incidents.
- Compliance and implementation with applicable company HSE policy, law & regulations,
- ISO14001 and ISO45001 management system.
- Ensure Compliance to government regulation, HR policies & employee handbook etc.
- Preparation and submission of forms and returns to the government agencies.
- Other tasks or duties as direct supervisor assigned.
- Coordinate and execute all the Safety Trainings, which may include organizing, conducting safety training and preparing necessary documents for all safety programs.
- Driving periodical toolbox talk to all departments and ensuring compliance.
- Encourage all employees to take part in the HSE management system and it’s follow-ups.
- Ensuring employee engagement in all HSE event celebrations.
- Lead with an outside in mindset to place customers in the center of everything we do.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Requires a Bachelor of Education in Engineering or Diploma in Safety
- Must have a minimum of 3-6 years’ experience in HSE with good knowledge of Safety.
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations, OSHA regulations, and EPA.
- First aid or CPR certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.
- Good Planning and Organizing Capabilities.
- Excellent problem solving and statistical analysis skills.
- Proven ability in multitasking and prioritizing workload
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Ability to meet any necessary physical standards.
- Ability to work in demanding environment performs multiple tasks, make decisions and handle emergency situations.
