Activity Aide

Edith Lane of Cincinnati is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activity Aide to join our team! In this role, you'll help create engaging activities that promote socialization, independence, and overall well-being for our residents. Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
• Escort residents to and from activity programs as needed.
• Help decorate and prepare for seasonal events, holidays, and special celebrations.
• Maintain activity supplies and assist with setting up and cleaning up events.
• Build positive relationships with residents while promoting dignity, respect, and independence.
• Document resident attendance and participation according to facility policies.
• Assist with outings and community events when scheduled.
• Work closely with the Activities Director and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' individual interests and needs.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment during all activities.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, recreation, customer service, childcare, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist residents as needed during activities.
• Must be dependable, organized, and flexible with scheduling.
