Job Description

TRC Talent Solutions is proud to partner with a growing organization seeking a detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist to join their finance team. Summary

The AP/AR Specialist will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. This role plays a critical part in maintaining cash flow, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring strong vendor and customer relationships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.


Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively address outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing and payment inquiries
  • Support month-end close activities related to AP/AR
  • Assist with audits and financial reporting as needed
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures


Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, reconciliation)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
