Job Description

A leading and fast-growing D2C responsible Men's Wear Brand, headquartered in Chennai is looking for an experienced Accounts and Admin Executive for its new division Derby Tailor Studio, that specializes in handcrafted, made-to-measure garments, particularly denim. The studio focuses on creating perfect-fit jeans, shirts, jackets, and other garments. The person will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, vendor coordination, and administrative support for the production facility. The role ensures smooth financial documentation, timely payments, inventory record maintenance, and efficient office administration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Finance

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in accounting software (Tally / ERP).
  • Record purchase bills, expenses, and vendor invoices.
  • Process and track vendor payments and petty cash transactions.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly accounts, MIS reports, and expense tracking.
  • Maintain documentation for GST invoices, purchase records, and compliance support.
  • Coordinate with the finance team / auditors for accounting data and reconciliations.
  • Track outstanding payments and vendor reconciliations.

2. Vendor & Purchase Coordination

  • Maintain records of fabric, trims, and production related purchases.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for invoices, delivery challans, and documentation.
  • Assist production team with purchase orders and GRN entries.

3. Payroll & HR Support

  • Maintain attendance records for staff and tailors.
  • Support in payroll inputs such as overtime, attendance, and advances.
  • Maintain employee documentation and records.

4. Administration

  • Manage day-to-day office administration and facility requirements.
  • Maintain records of assets, stationery, and office supplies.
  • Coordinate maintenance of office utilities, internet, and facility services.
  • Support management in documentation, reports, and coordination tasks.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain proper filing of financial and administrative documents.
  • Ensure invoices, purchase records, and expense bills are organized and accessible.
  • Assist in statutory documentation when required.

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of Tally / accounting software
  • Basic understanding of GST and accounting practices
  • Strong Excel / spreadsheet skills
  • Good organizational and documentation abilities
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams

Qualification

  • B.Com / BBA / Accounting related degree preferred
  • 8 years + experience in accounts and administration (manufacturing / retail preferred)

Reporting To

Finance / Operations Head

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
