Accounting Manager/Controller

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team. The Accounting Manager/Controller will actively participate and oversee the entire financial operations of a fast paced and rapidly growing Managed IT Services Company.

The Accounting Manager/Controller must be comfortable working hands-on in all areas of accounting and finance: A/R, A/P, payroll, journal entries, financial reporting/analysis, invoicing, billings, statements reconciliation, sales tax, collections, expenses, implementing cost control measures to enhance profitability, and more.

Accounting Manager Daily Responsibilities:

• Day to day hands on financial operations including but not limited to: general accounting, A/R, A/P, payroll, financial reporting, collections, expenses, invoicing and billings
• Supervise A/P clerk and another general assistant
• Reconcile vendor invoices
• Prepare financial statements and work with outside CPA firm
• Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Credit Card Reconciliations, Financial Analysis
• Assist in ongoing analysis and reporting of financial and operational results
• Preparing documentation for tax purposes, including completing monthly sales tax
• Improve and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Financial administration, planning and budgeting
• Identify areas of cost control, revenue, and margin generation to help improve bottom line performance
• Develop and communicate key business performance metrics to management
• Various ongoing and special ad-hoc operational and accounting/finance projects
• Assist with creation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets
  
  

Accounting Manager Requirements:

BS degree in Accounting or Finance.

4+ years proven work experience as Accounting Manager, Finance Manager or Controller.

1+ years experience in Technology Services/MSP industry desired.

Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and QuickBooks desktop and online. Must be able to quickly learn and use new software applications and databases.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; team player with a positive, can-do approach.

Ability to direct, supervise, and train accounting staff.

Self-starter and focused, high attention to detail and accuracy.

Willingness to work and be hands on daily in all aspects of accounting.

Ability to analyze financial data and prepare meaningful financial reports and statements.

Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Positive telephone, email and other communication skills both externally (client communications) and internally (staff and executive communications).

Salary Range: DOE 70-90k
