Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage the brand’s financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail or fashion-related accounting, strong knowledge of GST and TDS, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Maintain daily records of sales, purchases, and expenses across all channels (store, online, MBOs).
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and cash flows weekly and monthly.


Taxation and Compliance

  • Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with audits and liaise with CA and tax consultants.


Inventory and Costing

  • Support product costing and ensure accurate recordkeeping of raw material and finished goods.
  • Track vendor payments and manage vendor ledgers.
  • Work with merchandiser and production team to ensure correct costing structures.


Reporting and Budgeting

  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and MIS reports for management.
  • Assist in annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Highlight trends, opportunities, and risks in financial performance.


Software & Tools

  • Operate accounting software (Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or other ERP tools).
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records for audits and internal use.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA Inter is a plus)
  • 2–4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in fashion, retail, or FMCG
  • Proficient in Tally/QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and financial regulations
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with production, merchandising, and sales teams
