Role Description

Decoflor is seeking a full-time, on-site Accountant to join its team in Kolkata. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The Accountant will also oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll operations, and prepare tax returns. Additionally, the role involves providing financial advice to support strategic decision-making and conducting audits to ensure accuracy of financial data.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
• Keen attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills for working with clients and internal teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification is a plus
• Experience in the design or creative industry is an advantage
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
