Account Head

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Head to lead our finance and accounting function. The role requires strong expertise in account finalization, statutory compliance, taxation, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and smooth coordination with auditors and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, balance sheets, and financial statements in compliance with statutory and internal standards
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
• Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity
• Finalize accounts and oversee preparation of financial statements
• Prepare and review GST, Income Tax returns, tax audit reports, and other statutory filings
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, including capitalization, disposals, and depreciation
• Ensure compliance with Company Law and other statutory requirements
• Monitor Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely processing and reporting
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other external stakeholders
• Develop, implement, and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 10 accountants, reviewing work and ensuring deadlines are met
• Handle any additional responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: CA Inter / ICWAI / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience: 6–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role
• Strong hands-on experience in account finalization
• In-depth knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and statutory compliances
• Working experience in Tally and ERP-based accounting systems
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance frameworks
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and team management abilities

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an audit firm or a manufacturing company will be an added advantage
