Chief Test Automation Engineer - JavaScript

Responsibilities

• Drive test automation to ensure repeatable tests are automated and reduce test cycle time
• Participate in scrum teams to define and refine unit, integration, and performance testing
• Create, execute, and maintain scripts and tools for various testing frameworks
• Implement, collect, analyze, and report team and project metrics demonstrating business value
• Design large-scale test automation solutions with deep technical details
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify project requirements
• Design test automation solutions that are maintainable, extensible, modular, and follow industry best practices
• Create and maintain test automation frameworks and shared solutions usable across projects and programs
• Define and implement comprehensive test automation strategies including roadmap, tools, framework, and approach
• Create and maintain documentation for automation processes, workflows, and configurations
• Evaluate and select best test automation tools for different purposes

Requirements

• Extensive experience in JavaScript test automation with 12+ years of relevant work
• Strong expertise in UI automation and Web Service/API testing
• Proficient knowledge of design patterns and clean coding principles such as SOLID
• Experience with test automation frameworks and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Ability to lead testing strategy and implement quality gates effectively
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Exposure to AI implementation and GenAI tools
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Experience with intelligent agents and multi-channel platforms (MCPs)
