Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Academic Counselor to drive student admissions for Degree and Postgraduate programs. The ideal candidate should possess strong counseling and sales skills, along with the ability to confidently present and promote programs through social media platforms.

This role combines education counseling, consultative sales, and digital engagement, requiring a candidate who can build trust with prospective students while effectively communicating program value both offline and online.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counseling & Admissions
Counsel prospective students regarding Degree and PG programs (course details, eligibility, career scope).
Handle inbound and outbound leads via calls, WhatsApp, email, and walk-ins.
Convert inquiries into admissions through effective follow-ups and relationship building.
Understand student needs and recommend suitable programs.
Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and conversions in CRM.
2. Sales & Revenue Generation
Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.
Develop and execute strategies to improve conversion rates.
Handle objections and guide students/parents toward decision-making.
Coordinate with universities for admission processes and documentation.
3. Social Media Presentation & Engagement
Create and present content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
Conduct live sessions, reels, and informational videos explaining courses and career opportunities.
Act as a face of the institution in digital campaigns.
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan content calendars and campaigns.
Respond to social media inquiries and convert them into leads.
4. Workshops & Seminars
Conduct webinars, school/college seminars, and career guidance sessions.
Represent the institution in promotional events and outreach programs.
Deliver engaging presentations to students and parents.
5. Documentation & Coordination
Assist students with application forms, documentation, and admission procedures.
Coordinate with universities and internal teams for smooth onboarding.
Ensure compliance with admission guidelines and deadlines.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English + Malayalam preferred).
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
Proven sales and persuasion ability.
Comfortable appearing on camera and creating video content.
Good understanding of social media platforms and trends.
Ability to handle pressure and meet targets.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, CRM tools).

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree (mandatory)
Master’s degree (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
1–3 years in education counseling / admissions / sales (preferred)
Freshers with strong communication and presentation skills can also apply
