Job Title: Academic Counsellor – Online Admissions

Reports To: Admissions Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Academic Counsellor to manage student inquiries and drive online admissions through outbound and inbound calling. The role involves guiding prospective students, understanding their educational needs, and helping them choose the right course or program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound and outbound calls to prospective students regarding online programs.
• Provide detailed information about courses, curriculum, eligibility, fees, and career prospects.
• Understand student requirements and recommend online PG and UG programs.
• Follow up with leads regularly and convert inquiries into admissions.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions in CRM systems.
• Meet daily/weekly/monthly calling and admission targets.
• Coordinate with internal teams for smooth admission processing.
• Build strong relationships with students and parents for trust and conversion.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline; education or management preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in academic counselling, telesales, or admissions (freshers with strong communication skills can also apply).
• Excellent verbal communication skills (English + regional language preferred).
• Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.
• Comfortable with calling targets and performance-driven environment.
• Basic knowledge of CRM tools and MS Office.

Performance Metrics:

• Number of calls made per day
• Lead conversion rate
• Admissions achieved
• Follow-up efficiency
