Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented 2D Designer & Cutlist Specialist to join our team. You will be the technical bridge between our design concepts and the final production. Your primary responsibility is to transform approved residential interior designs into precise, error-free technical drawings and production-ready cutlists for modular furniture manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Drafting: Create detailed 2D floor plans, elevations, and sections using AutoCAD for residential projects (Kitchens, Wardrobes, TV Units, etc.).
• Cutlist Generation: Translate 2D designs into accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) and cutlists, specifying panel sizes, edge banding, and hardware requirements.
• Manufacturing Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to modular standards, considering material thickness (e.g., 18mm vs 12mm ply) and hardware clearances.
• Site Coordination: Review site measurements to ensure drawings account for wall undulations, electrical points, and plumbing lines.
• Quality Control: Audit final drawings for "clash detection" (e.g., ensuring a drawer doesn’t hit a door frame) before the design goes to the factory.
• Material Optimization: Use optimization software to minimize material wastage and improve cost-efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Software Proficiency: Expert-level skills in AutoCAD (2D). Experience with cutlist software.
• Residential Expertise: 2–4 years of experience specifically in modular residential interiors. You must understand how a kitchen or wardrobe is actually built.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of joinery details, hardware (Hettich, Hafele, Blum), and various materials (MDF, Plywood, Laminate, Acrylic).
• Precision: An eye for detail.
• Problem Solving: Ability to visualize 3D structures from 2D drawings to identify potential assembly issues.
