Role - Azure DE With Netezza & Datastage Experience - 5-8 Years Location - All EXL Locations We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Azure, DBT, Snowflake, DataStage, and Netezza to design, build, and optimize large-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing ETL/ELT pipelines, implementing data modeling best practices, and ensuring data quality and governance across complex data environments. Key Responsibilities ? Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using DataStage, DBT, and Azure Data Services. ? Implement data integration solutions to ingest, transform, and load data into Snowflake and Netezza environments. ? Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data engineering solutions. ? Optimize queries, workflows, and data models to enhance performance and cost efficiency. ? Implement data governance, data quality, and security standards across all pipelines. ? Migrate and modernize legacy data systems into cloud-based (Azure + Snowflake) solutions. ? Develop Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) and maintain technical documentation for data flows. ? Support production data pipelines by troubleshooting issues, ensuring SLA adherence, and maintaining system reliability. ? Work with cross-functional teams to enable self-service analytics through curated datasets and semantic models. Required Skills & Qualifications ? 5?8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. ? Strong expertise in Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks preferred). ? Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling. ? Proficiency in Snowflake for cloud-based data warehousing and query optimization. ? Strong background in ETL development using IBM DataStage. ? Experience with Netezza for data warehouse management and performance tuning. ? Advanced SQL skills (joins, CTEs, optimization, data transformations). ? Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and metadata management. ? Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work in agile teams. Good to Have ? Experience with Python or Scala for data engineering tasks. ? Exposure to cloud migration projects (on-premises to Azure/Snowflake). ? Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau for BI reporting integration. ? Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps) for data deployments.
