J o b P u r p o s e
Zonal Sales Manager - The Zonal Head – Sales with minimum 12-15 years of experience will spearhead regional order booking, timely sales, specification development, and drive field marketing/BD initiatives across the Southern Region India which are: Karnataka, Tamilnadu, AP, Telangana, Kerala , Pondicherry, Andaman- Nicobar.
This leadership role is pivotal in achieving business targets through continuous improvement in sales processes, team performance, and infrastructure optimization.
K e y A c c o u n t a b i l i t i e s:
Order Intake Achievement
Responsible for meeting or exceeding the zonal Order Intake targets aligned with business goals.
Project Coordination
Support Project Managers in liaising with local clients to ensure smooth execution and delivery timelines.
Collections & Payment Monitoring
Drive timely payment collections and follow-up processes in accordance with financial guidelines.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage, mentor, and evaluate the zonal sales team to maximize productivity and build capability.
Sales Target Planning & Execution
Translate annual sales goals into half-yearly, quarterly, and monthly targets for the team.
Implement strategies to drive consistent achievement of these targets.
Target Achievement Monitoring
Track performance indicators regularly to ensure progress toward sales objectives.
Sales Enablement Support
Ensure necessary sales enablers such as DI (Demand Initiation), advance payments, and process tools are in place to support revenue realization.
Business Development Support
Provide strategic inputs and assist in market approvals, presentations, and pre-sales engagement for emerging opportunities.
Market Expansion Planning
Develop and execute focused business plans for new markets or segments in alignment with the 5-Year Strategic Plan.
Customer Acquisition & Retention
Accountable for identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with new and high potential customers.
Lead Generation & Conversion
Create individual and team-level action plans to generate leads, follow up, and ensure successful conversion.
Strategic Partnerships
Evaluate and recommend new partnership models including licensing and appointing potential liaison agents to promote Lucy products and services.
Internal Communication & Review
Conduct regular reviews to identify training, development, and product knowledge requirements for the sales team.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor market dynamics and formulate actionable strategies for sales intelligence and new customer acquisition.
Performance Reporting
Provide timely insights and feedback to senior leadership on business development, marketing outcomes, and strategic direction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Offer operational support across departments as and when required by management to foster business integration.
CP network expansion and CP management
To promote Lucy brand solutions in the given territory and appoint potential channel partner in white spots and manage business growth from existing and new CPs.
D i m e n s i o n s:
The role will be based at Bangalore India. Incumbent should have minimum experience of 12-15 yrs in the field of MV switchgear sales & marketing and willing to travel extensively to various sites within the assigned territory.

Proven experience in managing channel partners, resellers, and indirect sales networks.

Solid understanding of power distribution systems and switchgear technologies.

Familiarity with real-world operational challenges faced by distribution network operators, including system reliability, outage management, and load balancing.
Process Knowledge
Clear grasp of workflow stages within public utilities, from order initiation through execution to project closure.
Commercial Acumen
Practical experience with financial instruments and transactions such as Bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit (L/C), Corporate Guarantees, and Vendor Financing Structures (VFS).
