Primary Function Of Position

Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for businesses within the Francis Tuttle district by building relationships, understanding workforce needs, and connecting employers with relevant training programs and services. This position focuses on expanding awareness and utilization of Francis Tuttle's workforce training offerings through thoughtful market development, ongoing engagement, and consultative support.

Essential Job Functions

  • Build and sustain professional relationships with business and organizational leaders, serving as a primary liaison between employers and Francis Tuttle Technology Center.
  • Expand market awareness and engagement by identifying and connecting with businesses in the district that may benefit from workforce training, including those with limited or no prior experience working with Francis Tuttle.
  • Proactively generate enrollments and expand class participation by articulating the strategic value of our training programs to industry leaders through relationship-based selling.
  • Engage employers in consultative conversations to understand their organizational culture, workforce challenges, and short- and long-term training needs.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify appropriate training solutions and coordinate internal resources to support employer goals related to incumbent and incoming workforce development.
  • Guide interested employers through participation in training programs by providing clear information, setting expectations, and supporting them through the decision-making and onboarding process.
  • Convert a lead into a participating customer.
  • Collaborate with program developers and trainers, contributing to the creation and marketing of impactful training programs.
  • Deliver attentive follow-up services to ensure client needs are met and encourage repeat business.
  • Conduct research and perform data analysis to understand patterns of current workforce needs to predict future workforce needs.
  • Stay abreast of research, development, and innovations in various industries and communicate with customers about this knowledge.
  • Communicate with customers about new workforce development programs and services as developed.
  • Communicate the impact of programs and services to stakeholder groups.
  • Mutually promote the successes of the businesses/organizations in the district.
  • Represent Francis Tuttle as an expert in workforce development at local, regional, and state level organizations.
  • Ability to be present on the job as described under working conditions and contract details.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five (5) years in industry or a professional setting required.
  • Five (5) years in a sales related environment required.
  • Ability to develop performance metrics related to sales required.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and direction.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft office components (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excel skill must include the ability to build and format formal reports.
  • Ability and desire to maintain/manage an efficient, well organized office area.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Strong written communication demonstrated in both letter and email.
  • Ability to understand and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks or projects with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong flexibility, time management, and organizational skills are a must.
  • This position requires both possession of a valid Oklahoma Driver's license and the ability to independently drive to meetings, training locations, and other District campuses. The employee must also remain in compliance with District driving record policies.
  • Anticipate needs, be resourceful and have ability to build strong employee partnerships within the organization.
  • Able to manage heavy workload and work outside of regular work schedule when needed in order to accommodate special projects and departmental deadlines.
  • Ability to consistently deliver superior customer service and work quality to internal and external customers.

Working Conditions

Long periods of sitting and standing. Ability to lift 10-25 lbs. Low-level machine noise is encountered the majority of every day. Concentrated visual effort is required. Extensive communication with internal and external customers. Reliable, dependable and punctual attendance. This is not an exhaustive list and reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.

Organizational Relationship

Full-time, exempt personnel position reports directly to the Director of Workforce and Economic Development.

Contract Details

Twelve-month contract subject to annual renewal. Adult Coordinator Employee-At Will contract. Working days and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

Francis Tuttle offers a comprehensive benefit package for full-time employment to include paid health and dental insurance, a supplemental benefit compensation in the amount of four hundred sixty-five dollars per month, employee leave plan with family friendly work calendar, and 100% contribution into Oklahoma Teachers Retirement System.

  • Starting salary represents individuals who are in early stages of career, newer to the role, working toward increasing proficiency.
  • This range represents individuals who are fully experienced and qualified, demonstrate sustained performance for a period of time and exhibit full proficiency in all aspects of their role.
