Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a WordPress Designer and Developer at Capsicum Mediaworks® in Mumbai. The role includes designing visually appealing website layouts, developing WordPress websites, customizing themes, and ensuring smooth functionality across devices. You will work closely with designers, developers, content teams, and marketing to deliver high-quality projects.

Responsibilities:
· Design clean, responsive, and user-friendly WordPress website layouts and landing pages.
· Develop and customize WordPress themes using page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Divi.
· Convert wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into functional WordPress websites.
· Create and optimize website graphics, banners, UI elements, and visual assets.
· Implement best practices for UI and UX across all web projects.
· Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive behavior, and smooth user experience.
· Optimize websites for performance, including image compression, caching, and speed improvements.
· Work with plugins, widgets, and third-party integrations as needed.
· Debug and troubleshoot issues using browser dev tools and tools like Google PageSpeed, GTMetrix, and Pingdom.
· Maintain high attention to detail in typography, layout, color selection, and overall visual consistency.
· Follow accessibility standards and create SEO-friendly website structures.
· Build reusable design systems, style guides, and components.
· Collaborate with internal teams and communicate design or development ideas clearly in meetings or calls.
· Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, design patterns, and development practices.

Qualifications:
· Minimum 1 year to 2 years of experience working on WordPress design and development in an agency.
· Strong knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, and customization.
· Proficiency with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, and Divi.
· Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
· Experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite for design tasks.
· Understanding of responsive design, UX principles, and accessibility.
· Familiarity with technical aspects such as caching, CDN setup, and speed optimization.
· Strong computer literacy, especially PowerPoint and Word for presentations.
· Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· A strong portfolio showcasing WordPress websites and design work.
· Ability to understand client briefs and translate them into effective designs and functional sites.
