Job Description: WordPress Developer

We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer to develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites for our company’s marketing campaigns and digital initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in WordPress development, theme and plugin customization, website performance optimization, and the ability to use AI tools and automation to improve development speed, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of WordPress websites for marketing campaigns, landing pages, and business initiatives.
• Create custom WordPress themes and plugins based on the specific needs of the marketing and business teams.
• Use AI tools to speed up development tasks such as code generation, debugging, documentation, testing, content formatting, and workflow automation.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive development, QA, deployment, and maintenance tasks to reduce turnaround time.
• Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure websites, themes, and plugins function properly and remain compatible with the latest WordPress updates.
• Collaborate with the design team to build websites that are visually appealing, user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and optimized for conversions.
• Work with the marketing team to quickly build and launch campaign landing pages, forms, tracking scripts, and conversion-focused website sections.
• Manage the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of WordPress websites.
• Optimize website performance, page speed, Core Web Vitals, security, and overall user experience.
• Ensure websites follow security best practices, including plugin updates, access control, backups, malware protection, and vulnerability checks.
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, CRM forms, analytics, marketing automation platforms, and tracking pixels when required.
• Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, AI development tools, automation workflows, and web development best practices.
• Communicate technical requirements, challenges, and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in WordPress development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and other web development technologies.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress theme development, plugin development, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools to improve development productivity.
• Ability to use AI and automation to reduce development time, improve code quality, and streamline repetitive tasks.
• Understanding of website design principles, user experience, mobile responsiveness, and conversion optimization best practices.
• Experience with website deployment, hosting environments, staging setups, backups, and maintenance workflows.
• Knowledge of website speed optimization, SEO/GEO/AEO-friendly development, schema implementation, and analytics/tracking setup.
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with design, marketing, content, and business teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple website tasks, campaign requirements, and urgent updates in a fast-paced environment.
