WordPress Developer (3+ Years Experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced WordPress Developer to join our on-site development team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in custom WordPress development, WooCommerce, plugin development, and modern WordPress technologies. You will work on client projects as well as our own premium products, building scalable, secure, and high-performance WordPress solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch.
• Develop and customize WordPress plugins.
• Build and customize WooCommerce stores and extensions.
• Develop custom Gutenberg blocks and work with the Block Editor.
• Customize WordPress using Hooks, Filters, REST API, AJAX, and Custom Post Types.
• Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways.
• Debug and resolve WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, and database issues.
• Manage Git repositories and collaborate using version control.
• Follow coding standards and maintain clean, reusable code.
• Estimate tasks and provide regular progress updates.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience in custom theme development.
• Experience in custom plugin development.
• Strong WooCommerce customization experience.
• Good understanding of Gutenberg (Block Editor) development.
• Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
• Knowledge of WordPress REST API.
• Experience with AJAX and custom admin development.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles.
• Knowledge of website optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with Git/GitHub.
• Familiarity with Linux hosting environments, cPanel/CyberPanel, and basic server management is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with page builders like Elementor.
• Knowledge of WP-CLI.
• Experience with multilingual websites (WPML/Polylang).
• Understanding of Headless WordPress.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs.
• Basic knowledge of React for Gutenberg block development.

Tools & Workflow

• Task Management Systems (ClickUp, Monday.com, Jira, Trello, or similar).
• Git/GitHub or Bitbucket.
• AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
